Shoot the alphabet. From A to Z please interpret how you want to approach this.
For each letter please bracket the exposure. This means zeroing your meter to what the camera thinks is correct, making an exposure, then repeating this two times, each time adding one stop more of light.
All told you should have roughly 100 images.
Please come to the next class with your camera, hard drive and card reader(optional.)

Hello and Welcome
Ok so this is our blog. It will be your lifeline to the class. There is an RSS feed on the right column of this blog which (for those of you who don't know,) will alert you when I have made a change to the blog. This is very important as I often add things the night before class and you will be considered unprepared for class if you do not pay attention to the blog.
I cannot stress enough the importance of this. It is our ongoing and constantly updated course outline.
Here is a link to your syllabus, which has important dates as well as a rubric for the class. Everything else will be as posts on the blog (assignments, readings, things of that nature.)
There is a required text for the class and it is:
Real World Camera RAW. It was written by Jeff Schewe and the late Bruce Fraser.
It is about $30 from Amazon.
You can find it here.
When it has arrived you will bring it to class and I will record it as an assignment grade.
